Here is a list of hostales in Nerja (not like youth hostels more like guest house accommodation or B+B´s) with their official rating and distance to the Balcon de Europa. They rarely have a swimming pool or any other facilites but they´re usually good, clean, central and cheap. Ideal for those on a budget who just need a place to kip for a few nights.
If you try to book too far in advance ie, before the hotel has published its rates for that year (usually October of the previous year), especially with Booking.com the hotel will show as full. This terrifies people every year as they think they will be sleeping on the beach. Contact the hotel direct and ask them when they are likely to publish the rates for the following year.
