Apartments and Villas in Nerja
There are lots of apartments and villas in Nerja. Most are individually owned by foreigners or Spaniards that use them for holidays and/or renting. They often have no reception desk or any other facilities besides a swimming pool. Villa in this instance means a house with a private pool. ALWAYS beware of swimming pools with small children!
If you try to book too far in advance ie, before the complex has published its rates for that year (usually October of the previous year), especially with Booking.com the hotel will show as full. This terrifies people every year as they think they will be sleeping on the beach. Contact the hotel direct and ask them when they are likely to publish the rates for the following year.

The hotel Carabeo has 3 apartments next-door and opposite the hotel. They have the same great location and the 2 that are on the sea side have stunning views and a shared pool. Booking is direct with the hotel reception.

This low-rise (ground and 1st floor) building is ideal for those who want to keep the majority of their guests together in one place. The max capacity is approx 60people if using sofa beds. Burriana beach is 150mts away. There is a lawn garden with swimming pool and the owner and his family who live on-site are happy to provide anything you need for your stay. They will book excursions, car-hire, taxis and cater bbq´s for you. There is no min stay and arrival can be any day of the week.

Rural villas is the name given to all villas in a rural setting. I don´t recommend them (except the one pictured below which is outstanding and can sleep 18people) and only mention them here so you know to avoid them unless you really want a secluded base for your hols (which is rare for wedding groups.) Many rural villas can be on top of mountains or in the middle of no-where with often poor access via a dirt track. If you´re looking at booking a villa make sure to ask lots of questions as to where it is. If you´re unsure ask me.
